1. Introduction

Welcome to Trumfo. Trumfo is a free, non-commercial sports prediction platform operated purely for entertainment. We do not charge for any feature, offer prizes of monetary value, or facilitate gambling of any kind. Points earned on Trumfo have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for money, goods, or services.

By accessing or using Trumfo — whether by visiting the website, creating an account, or submitting a prediction — you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

These terms apply to all users worldwide. Additional rights may apply depending on your jurisdiction (see Section 12).

2. Eligibility

To use Trumfo, you must meet the following eligibility requirements:

• Age: You must be at least 13 years old. If you are resident in the European Union or European Economic Area, you must be at least 16 years old, as required by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
• Accurate information: You must provide truthful, accurate, and complete information when registering an account. Providing false information may result in account suspension.
• One account per person: Each individual may register only one account. Creating multiple accounts to gain an unfair advantage on the leaderboard is a violation of these terms.

By registering, you confirm that you satisfy these requirements. We reserve the right to verify eligibility and suspend accounts that do not comply.

3. Your Account

You are solely responsible for maintaining the security and confidentiality of your account credentials. This includes:

• Keeping your password secure and not sharing it with anyone else.
• Ensuring that no unauthorized person has access to your account.
• Notifying us immediately at legal@trumfo.com if you suspect unauthorized access or any security breach.

Any actions taken under your account are your responsibility, unless you have notified us of a breach and we have acknowledged it. We may suspend or permanently terminate any account that we reasonably believe to be compromised or in violation of these terms, with or without prior notice depending on the severity.

4. Acceptable Use

Trumfo is a community platform. To protect the experience of all users, the following conduct is strictly prohibited:

• Harassing, threatening, intimidating, or abusing other users in group chats or any other feature of the platform.
• Posting spam, promotional content, URLs to third-party sites, or any form of unsolicited commercial content in chat.
• Attempting to manipulate scores, predictions, or leaderboard rankings through technical exploits or collusion.
• Creating multiple accounts or using automated tools to submit predictions, thereby gaining an unfair competitive advantage.
• Reverse engineering, scraping, crawling, or otherwise extracting data from the platform without our express written consent.
• Impersonating another user, Trumfo staff, or any other individual or entity.

Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent termination at our sole discretion.

5. Predictions and Scoring

Predictions must be submitted at least 5 minutes before a match kicks off. After that deadline, predictions lock automatically and cannot be modified. It is your responsibility to submit predictions before the lock time.

Scoring is calculated automatically using official match results provided by the football-data.org API. Trumfo is not responsible for delays, inaccuracies, or omissions in data provided by that third-party service. Score updates may not be instantaneous.

In the event of a scoring dispute, Trumfo's determination is final. We will make reasonable efforts to correct errors, but we are not liable for any decisions made in good faith. Points have no monetary value and no claim may be made on their basis.

6. User-Generated Content

You retain ownership of any content you post on Trumfo, including chat messages and group communications. By posting content, you grant Trumfo a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display, transmit, and store that content solely for the purpose of operating the platform.

We reserve the right — but are not obligated — to review, moderate, or remove any content that violates these Terms, applicable law, or that we deem harmful to the community, without prior notice. We are not responsible for any content posted by other users.

7. Intellectual Property

The Trumfo name, logo, and all original design elements of the platform are our exclusive property. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or create derivative works based on Trumfo's branding without prior written permission.

Team names, team crests, tournament logos, and related imagery belong to their respective rights holders, including FIFA, UEFA, national football federations, and club organisations. Trumfo uses this material only for the purpose of identifying teams and matches in an informational context.

Match and player data is sourced from football-data.org and is used in accordance with their terms of service. Trumfo claims no ownership over that data.

8. Service Availability

Trumfo is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee 100% uptime, uninterrupted availability, or that the platform will be free of errors or bugs. Scheduled maintenance or unexpected technical issues may cause temporary unavailability.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or the entire platform at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable for any losses arising from service interruptions or feature changes.

9. Limitation of Liability

Trumfo is a free, non-commercial, entertainment-only platform. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

• Trumfo and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the platform.
• Because Trumfo is free and no payments are made by or to users, the maximum aggregate liability of Trumfo to any user for any claim is €0 (zero euros).
• Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by gross negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, to the extent such exclusion is not permitted by law.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings. Deletion is permanent and irreversible. See the Privacy Policy (Section 6) for details on how data is handled after deletion.

We may suspend or permanently terminate your account if we determine, at our sole discretion, that you have violated these Terms, engaged in abusive or harmful behaviour, or if required by law. Where possible, we will notify you before taking action, but reserve the right to act immediately in serious cases.

Upon termination of your account, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will notify you via email or an in-app notification at least 7 days before the changes take effect. For minor changes, the updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.

Your continued use of Trumfo after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. We store the version of these Terms you accepted at the time of registration or re-acceptance, as required by applicable law.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the following jurisdictional rules:

• EU/EEA users: Applicable European Union law applies, including the GDPR and any applicable national consumer protection legislation. You may also have the right to bring disputes before the courts of your country of residence.
• Brazilian users: Brazilian law applies, including the Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (LGPD — Law No. 13,709/2018).
• All other users: The laws of the jurisdiction in which you reside apply to the extent permitted by local mandatory provisions.
